Passwd is a team password manager that was born out of an agency need: We were looking for an effective tool for secure access sharing within the team, but none of the available applications met our requirements. So we created our own solution – from concept to design to the development of a globally successful product. What started as an internal project is now used by hundreds of clients and tens of thousands of users worldwide. Meet Passwd.

CHALLENGEHow to share and protect sensitive data

Find an app for storing passwords? No problem. But what about one that is user-friendly, accessible to small businesses and large teams, and above all, truly secure? That was a challenge. Most password managers still rely on an outdated model of storing sensitive data in their own database, which poses a cybersecurity risk. The solution? A completely new architecture and approach to data sharing and protection.

SOLUTIONPassword manager for Google Workspace

We designed Passwd as a cloud application for Google Workspace that stores passwords directly with the user, rather than storing sensitive data with a third party. This makes it much easier for teams to implement and ensures that no one can access their data after installation. Integration with Google Workspace also enables automatic synchronization of users and groups, so you can start using the service almost immediately – without complicated administration and lengthy setup. And as a bonus, you get a faster, cheaper mobile app thanks to native development with Compose Multiplatform.

IN PRACTICEAn innovative approach to security

Thanks to our technical solution, users log in with their Google account and share access as easily as they share files in Google Drive. Encrypted data is securely stored in their own cloud storage. We have also implemented browser extensions for Passwd to automatically fill passwords, a one-time code generator for two-factor authentication, and tools for ongoing security audits that detect potential threats.
