Logistics startup Shipmonk is offering fulfilment services for companies from the e-commerce sector. Thanks to their storage and parcel distribution solution, they are helping deliver goods from small and medium companies to the world. This American company with Czech roots hired us to help with the development of a native application that allows connecting scanners with a web application.
ChallengeWarehouses, codes and scanners
During the distribution of parcels, warehouses could not do without scanners and, above all, the data they provide. It was previously only possible to display them via the client's web application. Therefore, our task was to create a bridge between it and the scanners in the form of a native app so warehouse workers could also access essential data via mobile devices.
SolutionWeb app in native mode
We created a bridge in the form of a mobile app for iOS and Android which supports scanners from different manufacturers thanks to SDK integration. Their connection with the client's web application enables convenient data display on mobile devices. This makes it easier for warehouse workers to work with different types of scanners and shipment codes.
