Agentic Development Lifecycle (ADLC)
Agentic Development Lifecycle (ADLC) is a development cycle in which autonomous AI agents take over planning, implementation, testing and debugging software. It replaces the classic SDLC, which assumes a human writes the code — in ADLC the developer moves into an architect role: defining requirements, orchestrating agents and validating the output.
At Ackee we built our own framework for adopting ADLC — the full approach, including how we measure adoption, is described in Agentic Development Lifecycle (ADLC): a practical adoption plan.
